This is what I’m talking about. A true love that is not focused on itself.
“There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends.” John 15:13
This is what love is about. It’s about community and sacrifice. This is what makes Christianity so radically different than other “religions” (we shall tackle the whole religion issue at a later date). While there are some religions that have good morals Christianity is about love, but not love for yourself or love for the sake of getting something out of it for yourself.
The love I’m talking about is a no holds barred attack at our pride. Our you strong enough to fight yourself to truly love others?
